Daniel J. O’Gorman was admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in 1984 and founded this practice in May 1991 in association with Fionnuala McMahon. He is an Honours graduate from University College, Cork and has thirty years post qualification experience in areas of litigation, family law, employment law and all aspects of general practice.
Throughout his years of practice Daniel has been privileged to deal with almost every aspect of Solicitors’ work. He has been involved in a number of high profile cases, including those that have been ground breaking in terms of reported judgments in areas associated with civil litigation, family law and employment law. Daniel has acted not only within the jurisdictions of all of the Courts in Ireland including the Supreme Court but is also highly experienced in industrial tribunal work, within companies advising both employers and employees in terms of dispute resolution.
He has considerable experience in the areas of judicial review proceedings, applications for interlocutory relief and disciplinary proceedings.
Daniel has gained an enviable reputation as an excellent employment and family law Solicitor and represents clients in all relevant areas.
Daniel has also been appointed on Solicitor panels for the HSE, Garda Representative Association and various other representative bodies.
Daniel was appointed a member of the Advisory Committee to the Minister for Finance on Credit Unions with the specific task of making recommendations regarding draft legislation to the Minister and thereby to the Oireachtas. This Report was delivered on time and was the subject of commendation by the Irish Government.
